The election for Third Vice Chairman will take place at the Leadership Council meeting at the International Builders’ Show (IBS).

Wow! What a year 2023 has been. I have had the opportunity to travel and meet a lot of you this past year.

The best year ever. Visiting local and state HBAs. Meeting the members of this great Federation — the people who really do the work to make housing happen. Yes, that is you!

I learned that there is a desire for all three levels — local, state and federal — to stay more connected, be more aligned with each other and work together to make our mission at the NAHB Federation come true for all.

I learned that small companies — Builders, Remodelers, Associates and Affiliates — are all just as important in this Federation as the larger companies. We all have a purpose: “Providing attainable, comfortable, livable shelter for the American public.”

I learned that women are a key cog in the future of housing — always have been, but the strength you ladies bring to the table is second to none!

My promise to you all is that, if elected, I will not lose my roots, where I came from and where I have been, that put me in the position I am in today. I will always work for the Federation as one.

Now it is time to get to work!
